Heya

It saddens me that something like this gets daily feature.

I mean, your work is good, but it is extremely quick, and not much thought is put into it, ok, there is some thought in it, like the fact that they are teeth, they do human things, yet we are constantly reminded that they are teeth through humour (gold capped tooth becomes king etc), but it is really simple animation, and doesn't make you laugh that much.

The visuals are simple, the action is even more simple, yes it gets such a high score from what? A few witty lines.

Ugh.

I really am just bitter at my own animation that i've worked on for months crapping up because of some sound problems, and coming on here to see an animation that could be done in a night get such a high following.

All that being said, i actually like the series for some reason, but the feelings get mixed because of the way that everyone else reacts to it. I can't blame the author for that.

The commentary is probably the reason for that, it's very personal, and it's not a button which is hidden at the bottom of a menu, it's right there at the end of the movie, and I look forward to hearing it.

I look forward to seeing the next toof episode, just please, spend like, a week on it, get more than one joke per episode out, do something that involves the whole mouth? Braces or something, i dunno, don't just churn these out so quickly.

Give us a yell through the Newgrounds chat thing if you want to talk more.

MACception responds:

I can understand what you're saying man, but, like you said, can you really blame me?

I've spent months on animations of mine before, but, sometimes you cant put a ton of gloss on shit, and expect it NOT to be shit. My first animation took 3 months to do, and it got like a 2.6...This one took a total of 4 days (2 HARD days, and 2 just for VA and stuff) and it gets a 4+ I'd be pissed too man.

BUT! You gotta look at it man, do you like the animation? Does it suit its purpose? I've tried the whole art thing, and I know I suck at it...So I use what I can to do as good as I can. I'm sorry you dont think I deserve this, and I may not, but I'm doing what I can...

I guess a Daily Feature award comes with a price... :(

YES YES YES YES!

Incredible work Log, you are getting heaps better man, come on MSN more often, don't be ashamed! embrace your dial-up-ness!

That was incredible, i loved it, it was beautiful!

Your voices are even sounding cool now ;)

Very good man, incredibly good, the space fighting, the ground fighting, the whole starcraft thing, yeah, awesome! Another front page under your belt too i guess! Help me out with some of the sound problems i've been having on mine.

LogFish responds:

Cheers bro :)
Was hoping the voices would turn out alright eventually, and they have - yay! Now I don't feel like I sold out or anything either.
Well I'm just not using MSN anymore really! As you may have noticed. It's probably easier to keep in touch via email if there's anything in particular you want help with :) I'll try and come on, but no promises! I'm in a big productive phase at the moment, and MSN seems like a waste of time.

Great

Great, but you made one huge mistake.

You downplayed your movie in your author's comments, NEVER DO THAT, don't say 'Man i know im a noob' and stuff, just talk about facts, state passively what your movie is about and give general information about it, don't sway what the viewer will think about the movie before they see it, you are either creating false hopes, or making them look for the mistakes you pointed out.

Also, shame on Tom Fulp, this was nothing to do with madness, the theme was random violence (like about 1/4 of all flashes), the characters used are a 3-piece tweened character, Krinkels does not have a patent on the style that he uses, because it covers a massive amount of flash cartoons, it would be like the Tomorrows nobodies saying they want to patent 'good lip synching' or something, and everyone who can match lip frames up properly goes into the tomorrows nobodies catagory. Sorry for ranting here, but every animation has something in common with another animation, but it does not mean they should be categorised the same.

Again, great work, was awesome, and really long.

WIN!

You win sir!

Good work man, im pretty pissed that you have pumped out like 4 animations before i even get my second one out.... You need to come on MSN more often.. Friggin kiwi starcraft.. omg.

you win sir.

LogFish responds:

Well, not using MSN is a handy wee way to make more time to get things done! Kiwi StarCraft, heh, awesome.
I'm sure being semi unemployed now is helping - this is a clear use of studyleave for studious purposes.

Amazing

I love it, i have an idea to make it even better, hear me out now... make a version of it, with exactly the same animation but change a few things to make it into one of those 'trick your friends' things, firstly, scrap the play button and just have it invisible over the create new movie, then get rid of the camera angles, make a script that makes the cursor of the player invisible, and then get rid of all the camera angles, and somehow make it playable in fullscreen.

Someone could sit at their PC and call their friend in after watching the cartoon a couple of times, and, after they knew what happened, they could fool their friends into thinking that it was happening real-time, as the mouse cursor would be invisible, and the background already looks exactly like the flash interface anyways. I know i would have fun making people think my creation had just come to life and is fighting for its survival..

But whatever, just a thought dude.

Nice

I enjoyed it, was pretty neat.

I found the last review funny though.

Was helpful, i mean it was too simple, i mean it was too complicated..

Again, amazing.

Good work Mr Swain once again.

The-Swain responds:

Haha, and I didn't even have to plug anything.

Still waiting on a classic yet original space adventure, which we will hopefully get to experience soon, eh?

Nice

I love the pied piper story, this was a really good version of it.

..

Had no idea what was going on.

Then you played Sublime.

The first and last time i will ever vote 5 for a CC, LL etc submission.

You were lucky.
